Tangiwai poems...

Room 6 has been learning about Calamities and Catastrophes so Mrs W decided that we would do poems on the infamous Tangiwai disaster.  She expected this to be 15-30 lines (long and snappy).
It combined social studies, IT, theme and writing all in one big project.
We had to put in a picture, add a border and make up an interesting title. It was hard work!
The title was tricky to decide on because it had to not give away too much about the poem. The lines had to be informative yet entertaining. In the end it was a fun project and they turned out great.
