Mangorei School Athletics

During this term we had a person from the athletics association come and teach us the right techniques and skills for athletics activities, then on Wednesday the 27th of November Mangorei School had their athletics sports. Students from 7 years old to 13 years olds took part in lots of events; shot-put, discus, sprints, long jump and high jump. This year we were very lucky to go to the TET Stadium in Inglewood. It was cool being in a proper stadium. We had some parents come along to support their children or child and we had some very good results from some people.
Thank You to Manuel for teaching us and helping to organise this event.

Gardens Galore

Last week 33 students who grew gardens got a chance to show off their gardens when they were visited by some of the staff members. The students have been working very hard to produce these awesome gardens. This is the third anniversary of our school garden project and some students have been participating in this gardening event for the whole three years. All students who participated will get a plant and may win a spot prize of garden vouchers for their future gardens. Thanks must go to the sponsors, nginz and Go Gardening for donating two hundred dollars worth of garden vouchers and one hundred awesome plants. Also a special thanks to Fairfield Gardens for supporting the enviro group all year round and to Mrs Small who co-ordinates the enviro group.
